You’re invited to the 35th Annual Exhibition of Iwasawa Oriental Art “Water in Life – 水と生きる”

October 5th, 2017 – February 28th, 2018

The exhibition focuses on “water”, a core of Japan’s rich natural settings, and displays arts and culture created with this traditionally inspiring theme.

Below are a couple of many water-themed art pieces that we will display during the exhibition.

One of the famous examples of water in Japanese art. Ukiyo-e: The Great Wave off Kanagawa “Big Wave” by Hokusai.

Calligraphy of 水 (water) by Kihachiro Nishiura. Iwasawa Oriental Art has hosted monthly calligraphy class with Mr. Nishiura.
